If you are looking for a night out, Tivoli is your spot. It's known for great parties after it's gigs, being a music venue during daytime and evening, and being a club at night. Try to attend RAUW (dance), Kill All Hipsters (Alternative Rock/Indie/Indietronic), 90's Alternative, Pop-O-Matic (student nights out, mostly on thursdays and free!), Zer00's Heroes, etc. You can check the program on their website. The venue itself is one of the major music venues in the Netherlands. Located in what used to be a church, the venue is relatively small with a maximum of 1000 visitors. However Tivoli has over 310.000 visitors every year. The venue presents local talents, popular newcomers as well as established world famous acts such as: The Black Keys, Snoop Dogg, Arctic Monkeys, 30 Seconds to Mars, Justice, Boys Noize, 2ManyDJ’s, Pendulum, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, R.E.M., Faith No More, Red Hot Chili Peppers etc. Ps. Beside Tivoli Oudegracht there's also a Tivoli de Helling. This is a venue 2km from the Oudegracht. Most big gigs and events are in Tivoli Oudegracht, however be sure to check their website just to be sure. There's also a large poster with the complete program on the side of the building at Oudegracht.
