PL Poland - AT Austria

Travel from Poland to Austria by direct train. Train tickets start from 29 EUR.

There are two direct day trains from Warsaw to Vienna with a journey time of 7:30 hours. Buy train tickets from 40 EUR.

The overnight train EN407 from Warsaw via Krakow to Vienna has a journey time of 11:30 hours. Train tickets are available from 29 EUR. The cheapest travel option are seats. More comfortable are 4 or 6 bed couchettes from 49 EUR. Or a sleeper compartment for one to three travellers with a ticket price from 69 EUR. The departure time in Warsaw is at 19:30, in Krakow at 22:30. The arrival time in Vienna is at 07:00.

PL Poland - BY Belarus

Travel from Poland to Belarus by train. There are direct trains on the route from Warsaw via Brest to Minsk. The journey time is 7 hours. There are at least three train connections daily. The train ticket price starts at 25 EUR.

The day train connection from Warsaw might include a change of trains in Brest. From Brest continue to Minsk. The train ticket price is 25 EUR.

The direct overnight train from Warsaw via Krakow to Prague offers comfortable travel in seated compartments or in 6 or 4 couchettes. The sleeper compartments are available fro one to three travellers. The ticket prices start from 29 EUR.

The private operator "Leo Express" now offers train connections from Krakow to Prague from 15 EUR.

To travel from Poland to Germany by train, buy a saver price ticket ("Sparpreis Europa") of Deutsche Bahn from 39 EUR. This offer is available from selected destinations in Poland to Germany.

If this special offer is not available from your departure railway station, buy first a ticket of Polish railways to one of the bigger cities in Poland. From there buy as second the saver fare ticket of Deutsche Bahn to your travel destination in Germany.

There are trains coming from Moscow via Warsaw (Poland) to Paris and Nice (France). The journey time by this comfortable overnight train from Warsaw to Paris is 21 hours. Tickets are available from 175 EUR. These trains do not run daily.

PL Poland - LT Lithuania

To travel from Poland to Lithuania by train, you have currently only one train connection on weekends. Therefore the journey by bus is the easiest way.

If you want to travel by train, first buy a train ticket of Polish railways from your departure station to Bialystok. And a second train ticket from Bialystok to your destination in Lithuania via Lithuanian railways.

Travel from Poland to Russia by direct train. The main travel route leads from Warsaw to Moscow. The journey time is 15 hours. Train tickets are available from 150 EUR. Warsaw and Moscow are very well connected to the national railway networks of Poland and Russia.

1. From your departure station in Poland to Warsaw.

PL Poland - SE Sweden

To travel the direct way from Poland to Sweden, make use of a ferry. There are two main travel routes available.

A) Gdansk to Nynäshamn /Stockholm
Travel by train to Gdansk. Change to the ferry. The journey time of the ferry is 18 hours. Ferry tickets are available from 69 EUR.
From Nynäshamn use a direct suburban train to Stockholm main railway station (1:15 hours, 3 EUR).

B) Świnoujście to Ystad
Travel by train to Świnoujście. Change to the ferry. The journey time of the ferry is 5:30 hours. Ferry tickets are available from 34 EUR. In Ystad, have a short walk from the ferry terminal to the railway station.

Continue by train from Stockholm or Ystad to your final travel destination in Sweden.

You need three tickets in total.

1) One train ticket from your departure railway station to Gdansk or Świnoujście.

2) One ferry ticket from Poland to Sweden.

3) One train ticket from the ferry port to your final travel destination.

PL Poland - SK Slovakia

If you want to travel from Poland to Slovakia by train, the best option is to take the route via the Czech Republic. A direct day train runs from Warsaw via Katowice, Ostrava and Breclav to Bratislava and night trains run from Warsaw and Krakow to Bratislava on the same route. In Ostrava there are connections to Zilina - Kosice.

Alternatively you can travel between directly from Poland to Slovakia via the Zwardon - Skalite border crossing. However, there are only slow regional trains running there. Another border crossing is between Lupkow and Medzilaborce however there are only two trains at summer weekends. Another option is to take a bus from Zakopane across the High Tatra mountains to Poprad.

Tickets are only available at train stations. Special advance fares are available as well at stations in Poland.

Travel from Poland to Ukraine by direct train

There is an overnight train from Warsaw to Kiev with a journey time of 15 hours and ticket fares from 45 EUR. Day trains operate on the routes Warsaw, Wrocław and Krakow to Lviv. And as well on the train route from Przemysl (Polish-Ukrainian border station) to Lviv and Kiev.
