Parco Gülhane / Istanbul

Gülhane Parkı, "Rosehouse Park" is a historical urban park in the Eminönü district of Istanbul, Turkey.
It is located adjacent to and on the grounds of the Topkapı Palace. Gülhane Park was once part of the outer garden of Topkapı Palace and mainly consisted of a grove. The first statue of Atatürk in Turkey was erected in the park in 1926, sculpted by Heinrich Krippel. But ironically, you would see lots of woman veiled in black chador and tons of men with their long beard missing their good old times when they were ruled under muslimic laws.
