The Railjet is a modern high speed train running on the route from Prague via Brno to Vienna and Graz and Austria. Czech Railways (CD) have purchased seven trainset which they operate jointly with trainsets of Austrian Railways (ÖBB).
The trains are fixed trainsets of five 2nd class and two 1st class car coaches including a bistro in one of the 1st class coaches. Trains have air-condition, power sockets and WiFi. In 2nd class you will find four seats per row (2+2) in open-plan arrangement with seats both in rows and facing each other. In coach 21 there is a compartment for bicycles as well as a TV screen for children. Coach 23 is the quiet coach where loud talking and noises should be kept to a minimum. In 1st class you will find three leather seats per row (2+1) in open-plan arrangement with most seats in rows and only some facing each other. In coach 26 there is a bistro serving a wide range of hot and cold dishes, snacks and drinks as well as 1st class seats and the info desk. This coach is also accessible for the disabled. In coach 27 you will 1st class seats as well as six business class seats.
On some Railjet services between Czech Republic and Austria trainsets of Austrian Railways are in use which slightly differ from the Czech version. The Austrian trains have just four 2nd class coaches and instead three 1st class coaches.
