Snabbtag are high-speed trains operated by SJ (Swedish Railways), running at up to 210 km/h and connecting the most important cities of the Sweden. They also run on international services from Stockholm to Oslo and Copenhagen.
There are two different types of trains in use on Snabbtag services. The older X2000 tilting trains were Sweden's first high speed trains. They are mainly in use on services from Stockholm to Malmö, Copenhagen, Göteborg and Oslo. X2000 have comfortable seats in 2nd and 1st class in open-plan arrangement. In 2nd class there are four seats per row (2+2), in 1st your will find three seats per row (2+1). Seats are mostly arranged in rows with some seats facing each other with large tables in between. A self-service bistro carriage is available where you can get snacks, drinks and meals. Trains are air-conditioned and fitted with power sockets and WiFi. All trains have facilites for the disabled. Trains will undergo a refurbishment from 2017.
The newer SJ3000 trains are in use on services from Stockholm to the north (Östersund, Sundsvall, Umea) as well as from Göteborg to Malmö.
