Laglum-Siel / Wyk auf Föhr

On the island of Foehr, there are three pumping stations. They are responsible for regulating the water level in the marsh.

One of these three pumping stations is the Laglum-Siel in Wyk. The other two are the West pumping station at Dunsum and the mid pumping station in Oldsum).

The Laglum-Siel works automatically, this means, the doors open at low tide and close at high tide. The pumps of the other two pumping stations are operated manually.
