Travel by one of the frequent bus (minibus) connections from Shkoder to Ulcinj or Podgorica. There are as well long-distance bus connections from Tirana via Shkoder and Podgorica to Kotor.

To travel in Croatia by train, buy domestic train tickets locally at a railway station. Most tickets can also be purchased on the website of "HZ" (Croatian railways).

Train tickets for international journeys are only available at railway stations.

2b Travelling from Podgorica (Montenegro) to Belgrade (Serbia)

Direct train connections via day and overnight connect Serbia and Montenegro via one of the most scenic rail routes of Europe.

This rail route leads from Bar and Podgorica via the mountains of Montenegro to Belgrade (Serbia).

The journey time on the journey from Bar to Belgrade is about 11 hours. The ticket price is 21 EUR in 2nd class and 32 EUR in 1st class. A seat reservation is 3 EUR. In the night train the standard berth prices is 6 EUR. In a sleeper cabin the prices depends on its capacity (reservation fare per person): 3 persons 15 EUR, 2 persons 20 EUR, 1 person 45 EUR.

2c Travelling from Belgrade (Serbia) to Zagreb (Croatia)

Travel from Serbia to Croatia by direct train. There is one daily train connection on the main railway line between Belgrade and Zagreb. The journey time is eight hours. The train ticket fare is 29 EUR.

The departure time in Belgrade is 10:00. The arrival time in Zagreb 18:15.

2d Travelling from Zagreb (Croatia) to Zadar (Croatia)

Travel from Zagreb to Zadar by train and bus. The journey time is 07:30 hours. Usually you travel from Zagreb to Knin. In Kin you change trains in direction of Zadar. As the railway line Knin to Zadar is currently under renovation, you have to travel like this:
first travel by train from Zagreb via Perkovic to Sibenik. The journey time is six hours. The train ticket price starts at 12 EUR. In Sibenik you change to a bus to Zadar. The journey time is 1:20 hours. The bus ticket price is 6 EUR.
There are several train and bus connections available per day.

Optionally travel by direct bus from Zagreb to Zadar. The journey time is 03:30 hours. The bus ticket price starts at 11 EUR.
