The first place I want to present is the region where I lived. I'ts in the pyrennees mountain. It's a very pretty place, because of the beauty of the landscapes. This is a plain (altitude 2000 m), surrounded by mountains. In winter, there are wonderful ski spots and during summer hiking in the mountains is the favorite activity of personn living there and for many many tourists. This place is the most sunlighted place of France (300 days of sunny days per years !). A really beautiful place to discover, trust me !
