The construction of the castle of Ludwig II started in 1869. Take the train to the railway station Füssen. From there use the bus number 73 (direction Steingaden / Garmisch-Partenkirchen) or bus number 78 (direction Schwangau). Exit at Hohenschwangau, Schwangau (Schlösser). One-way is EUR 2,10. It is easy - if you are unsure, simply ask the bus driver, they are used to it. :) The bus is running every 30 minutes. Journey time is 10 minutes.
