SpanienThe railway station of Canfranc (Spain): Estación Internacional de Canfranc.
It is a big border railway station between France and Spain, opened in 1928. At this time the second largest railway station in Europe (behind Leipzig, Germany). The main building has a length of 241 meters with 300 windows and 156 doors.
Canfranc International Railway Station connected up to 1970 the cities of Pau (France) and Saragossa (Spain). In 1970 a train accident collapsed the bridge of Estanguet (on French side) and was never rebuild.
Today there are only some regional trains from the Spanish side. From French side you have SNCF buses.
