However, due to the Summer Olympic Games of 1992, which were held in Barcelona, a lot changed in the district, so it was now opened to tourism due to large renovations and is not much left from the original slum.
Especially recommended is the beach, but also the promenade by the harbor is perfect for a nice walk.
