Marzipan - apart from the Holstentor the most famous characteristic of the historical city Lübeck! "Expensive almonds have been stored in the warehouses of Lübeck years ago. These were required for the production of the famous Lübecker Marzipan and also were shipped to the Prussian Königsberg. There the second marzipan culture of the baltic region developed with the help of Lübeck. Today you can enjoy real specialties of Lübeck such as our famous almond marzipan cake in the Lübecker Marzipan Warehouse with a magnificent view over the Untertrave and the Holstentor.
