Intercity Benelux services connect Amsterdam and Bruxelles via Den Haag, Rotterdam and Antwerpen every hour. Unlike the high speed Thalys trains they travel on the the conventional lines, resulting in longer travel times.
IC Benelux trains consist of refurbished Intercity coaches of NS (Dutch Railways) powered by SNCB (Belgian Railways) locos, the trains being run in cooperation of the two companies.
- 2nd and 1st class open-plan carriages with air-condition
- Power sockets are only available in 1st class.
- No Wifi
- Trains are equipped for passengers with reduced mobility
- Transport of bicycles is possible

The Intercity Brussels are ideal for travellers with a rail pass (Interrail, Eurail) who want to save on reservation costs. Unlike the Thalys high speed trains you do not need a seat reservation for travelling on Intercity Brussels. Just hop on the train and take a seat.
