A variety of train types is in use for Regionale Veloce trains however the majority of services is operated by conventional open-plan coaches. Most trains convey both 2nd and 1st class seats. Most services are air-conditioned and many trains have low-floor entry and facilites for the disabled. Bicycles can be conveyed on most services. Bikes in bags and folding bikes are carried free of charge. For other bikes a day ticket is 3,50€, alternatively you can also buy a 2nd class ticket for the distance travelled.

Buy your train reservation at a railway station. These are usually available at stations in all countries where a particular train runs through. In many countries, especially in central and eastern Europe you can also buy reservations for trains in other countries. In some countries (for instance in the Netherlands or Spain) you have to pay a service fee at the ticket counter.
