Finland - Estonia

Travel from Finland to Estonia and make use of the ferry on the route from Helsinki to Tallinn. You have to buy three tickets for this route.

1) From your departure railway station to Helsinki.

2) From Helsinki to Tallinn by ferry. The journey time is two to three hours. Ferry tickets are available from 15 EUR. Frequent ferry connections are available.

3) From Tallinn to your final travel destination in Estonia.

Finland - Russia

To travel by train from Finland to Russia, you have these two options:

1) the direct day train "Allegro" from Helsinki to St.Petersburg. There are 5 trains per day on this route. The journey time is about 3,5 hours. Tickets are available from 70 EUR.

2) the direct overnight train "Tolstoi" from Helsinki to Moscow. The journey time is about 15,5 hours. tickets are available from 180 EUR.

Helsinki is well connected to the Finish railway network, also by night trains from the north of Finland.

Finland - Sweden

To travel from Finland to Sweden, you have two main routes:

1) in the South by ferry from Helsinki or Turku to Stockholm. Ferry ticket prices from 12 EUR. Ferry journey time is about 11 hours.

2) in the North by bus from Kemi (Finland) to Luleå (Sweden). Bus ticket price from 25 EUR. Journey time for the bus is 3 hours.

There are good train connections available to Helsinki, Kemi, Turku (Finland) and from Stockholm, Luleå (Sweden) onwards. Both countries offer an excellent night train network.
