1b Travelling from Skopje (Macedonia) to Sofia (Bulgaria)
Travel from North Macedonia to Bulgaria by bus, as there is no direct train connection available. If you want to travel by train, you have to travel a detour either via Serbia or Greece.
Travel by train from Macedonia via Serbia to Bulgaria: travel from Skopje to Niš. And from Niš to Sofia.
Travel by train from Macedonia via Greece to Bulgaria: travel from Skopje to Thessaloniki. And from Thessaloniki to Sofia.
The train journey will take much longer. Therefore direct bus connections from Skopje to Sofia or other destination might be the best choice for you.
The bus ticket fare from Skopje to Sofia is 15 EUR. The journey time is 4:30 hours.

1c Travelling from Sofia (Bulgaria) to Siret (Romania)
Travel from Bulgaria to Romania by train. There are two rail connections between Bulgaria and Romania, both cross the Danube on a large bridge. From Ruse to Giurgiu (where the train from Sofia to Bucharest runs) and from Vidin to Calafat.
The tickets are available at the international ticket windows in larger railway stations in Bulgaria. You can also try to book the train tickets on the websites of the Bulgarian and Romanian railway companies. If it is not possible to book your ticket in one step, buy one ticket from Bulgaria to the border station (for example: Ruse) and from there a second ticket for your travel journey in Romania.

2b Travelling from Skopje (Macedonia) to Belgrade (Serbia)
Travel from Macedonia to Serbia is possible by the overnight train from Thessaloniki via Skopje (North Macedonia) and Niš (Serbia) to Belgrade. But it is not sure if this train will run in the summer months or not. Other train connections are currently not available.

If not train connection is available, you have to travel by bus.

2c Travelling from Belgrade (Serbia) to Siret (Romania)
If you want to travel from Serbia to Romania by train, the only connection is from Vrsac to Timisoara where two daily trains run. There are connecting trains from Belgrade to Vrsac and from Timisoara to many destinations in Romania, including Brasov, Cluj and Bucharest.
Special offers are available for the trip from Belgrade to Timisoara. Buy it locally at a station in Serbia. To continue within Romania you can buy an online ticket from CFR (Romanian Railways) or buy a through ticket to your destination at a station.
