you reach the zoo from the city center (Anger) by tram line number 5 (from "Anger" to the last stop "Zoopark").

[b]Opening times[/b]

from 1 April to 31 October
daily from: 09.00 to 18.00 h
(last entry and offices close: 17.30 h)

from 1 November to 31 March
daily from: 10.00 to 16.00 h
(last entry and offices close: 15.30 h)

[b]Admission[/b]
As an adult, you pay 7 EUR.
There is also an evening ticket (from one hour before closing). This will cost 4.50 EUR.

In the past I didn't realy liked the zoo in Erfurt. But I have to say: since some years it is getting pretty good. Some enclosures are accessible. Well done!

There is now - not far from the main entrance - a picnic area.

From the restaurant "Weinberghaus" (which unfortunately is only accessible from the zoo area, not from outside), you have a fantastic view over the city.
I can't judge the food because I stayed there only for short time, but it looked good. The espresso I can't recommend!against ...
