The Camargue is a region in France, which lies between the two arms of the Rhône which divides in the north of Arles.
In the swamp land, sea and land merge seamlessly together. Pure nature.
Big parts are used for agriculture (eg rice).
The Camargue is a nature reserve. There are a wide variety of waterfowl. Known here are especially the flamingos (unfortunately I have not even seen one and therefore no photo). Also very famous for the Camargue area are the white Camargue horses, a breed of horse are only occurring here (see photo). There are also Camargue bulls (see photo).
A bike ride through parts of the Camargue is recommended as a day trip.
