The Stockholm Palace is located near the old town on the island Stadsholmen. This castle is no longer inhabited by the Swedish king, but only serves as an office for the royal family, as well as a reception facility by guests that receives the Swedish king as head of state. It was built in 1690-1750. The daily Changing of the Guard takes place at 12:15h (Sundays at 13:15h).
