From Sierre, one can take the post bus to Zinal. If necessary change in Vissoie. In Zinal, there are connections to the Lac de Moiry. There is a trail around the turquoise lake. Very nice trip. Important note: this tour is feasible only in July (or late June) and in August (or until the beginning of September) !!! The post buses between Zinal and Moiry, barrage (dam) or Moiry, glacier (glacier) operate only in the two summer months (eg 2014: daily from 28 June to 07 September).
