To travel by train from Spain to France, use one of the direct high-speed-trains from Barcelona to Paris and southern France. First you travel in Spain to Barcelona. There you change to the trains to France. Another option is to cross the border at Irun/Hendaye and to continue from there to your destination in France. Please use the following booking links to find schedules and ticket prices. In some cases you have to buy two tickets. One from your departure station in Spain to Barcelona (Spain). And a second one from Barcelona to your destination in France. Book early to get discounts and saver fares.
There are several daily train connections from France to Italy. Either from Paris or along the Mediterranean Sea. Also a direct night train from Paris to Milan and Venice. To travel from Italy to Greece, you have to take the ferries of Minoan Lines or Superfast Ferries. These run from Bari, Ancona, Venice and Trieste via Igoumenitsa to Patras. All ferry ports except Igoumenitsa have railway connections.
Patras is located on the Peloponnes and has a railway connection to Athens. However, between Patras and Kiato currently a replacement bus service is operating. Igoumenitsa is located in the north of Greece and has bus connections to Kalambaka and Thessaloniki.
To Bari and Ancona you will find frequent train connections from cities such as Rome, Naples, Florence, Bologna and Milan.
If you want to travel from Greece to Albania, you have to take a bus. There is no passenger railway connection available between Greece and Albania.
There are direct buses on the route from Thessaloniki (Greece) to Tirana (Albania). Thessaloniki is connected to the railway network of Greece and as well to international destinations.
