* If you want to reach the entry of Palmengartenstraße, use subway: U4, U6, U7 - exit "Bockenheimer Warte"
Bus line 32 / 50 / 75 "Bockenheimer Warte"

* If you want to enter at Siesmayerstraße use:
U6, U7 station "Westend", bus line 36 "Palmengarten"

I personally used the U7.

+++ My experience / My Opinion +++

If the weather is good an sunny, it is truly a wonderful place. The landscape modeling is well done - a stream, a pond, a waterfall, fountain. Nice!
The visitor can enjoy a "firework of colors".

On the lawn there are comfortable couches. Unfortunately, it is sometimes noisy: traffic noise, aircraft noise ... But I could still spend a relaxing hour in there.

It runs the "Palmen-Express".
It is a little train with four cars (red, yellow, green, blue) with a speed of 6 km/h, its turning laps on the park grounds.
A ticket for an adult is 1.20 EUR, children pay half.

There is also a boat rental. The price for one person for half an hour is 2.50 EUR.

Dining: Two cafes are available. But I can't give a statement because I did not tested them.
