Rapperswil is located on Lake Zurich. The town offers nice walks in good weather on the lake where you can rent pedal boats. Rapperswil is a good starting point for boat trips on the lake of Zurich. From the old town you see the castle towers which can be visited. Also worthwhile is the "Rosengarten" in which many fragrant varieties of roses grow (Rapperswil is also called "City of Roses"). There are direct train connections to: Zurich Lucerne St. Gallen Ziegelbrücke
