1b Travelling from Berlin (Germany) to Moscow (Russia)

Two direct night trains connect Berlin with Moscow. The journey time is 24 hours. You can buy train tickets from 160 EUR. The price depends on your travel date and the category you choose. You can find the exact timetable and ticket prices via the given booking links.

Three times a week you can travel on these direct train connections. One night train comes from Paris (EN453 Transeuropean Express) with a stop in Berlin. From Berlin there is a direct train EN 441/14M Strizh.

If you want to avoid the trip through Belarus, travel from Berlin to Warsaw and from there by night train to Kiev. In Kiev you take the direct train to Moscow.

Travel from Moscow to Vladivostok by direct train. There are at least two non-stop trains daily. The journey time is between six and seven days (144 to 166 hours). You can buy train tickets from 110 EUR (10.000 RUB).

Different comfort categories are available for you to book in the trains: 1st class sleeper with 2-berth compartments, 2nd class "Kupé" with 4-berth compartments and 3rd class "Platskartny" with open-plan dormitory cars.

1d Travelling from Vladivostok (Russia) to Donghae (South Korea)

Travel from Vladivostok to Donghae by ferry. The journey time is 22 hours with one nights on board. Ferry tickets start from 190 EUR including extra fees like port tax.

Book the ticket in advance via given booking websites. The more expensive category "beds" means you get a really comfortable bed with privacy curtain. All is clean and nice, like you expect it from Japan.

Sockets are not available. You have to ask the staff and pay for it. The little shop only sells snacks. Charge your mobile phone in advance and get some noodle packets with you, as you get boiled cold and hot water for free. Of course there is a restaurant on board as well, but it is rather expensive.
