1a Travelling from Moscow (Russia) to Saint Petersburg (Russia)

You can travel from Moscow to Saint Petersburg by Sapsan high-speed-train or by night train. The fastest travel time is 3:30 hours by Sapsan. A journey by overnight train takes 8 to 9 hours. There are 20 to 25 train connections daily around the clock. Train tickets are available from 30 EUR. You can find these train tickets as well as the exact timetable via the given booking links.

In addition to the fast Sapsan train, overnight travel is very interesting: the night trains offer many comfort categories from basic seats to luxury sleeping cabins.

Saint Petersburg - Moscow

1b Travelling from Saint Petersburg (Russia) to Helsinki (Finland)

Travel from Saint-Petersburg to Helsinki by the direct Allegro trains.

The journey time for the 443 kilometres between Russia and Finland is about 3.5 hours. Train tickets are available from Euro 70 in 2nd class. There are at least three connections per day.

1c Travelling from Helsinki (Finland) to Stockholm (Sweden)

To travel by ferry from Helsinki to Stockholm, book a direct overnight ferry. The daily departure time in Helsinki is in the late afternoon. The arrival in Stockholm in the morning. The journey time is about 17 hours. The ticket price starts from 85 Euro.

If you want to travel by a cheaper ferry or during the day (not overnight), you have to take a ferry route from Turku to Stockholm.

1d Travelling from Stockholm (Sweden) to Aarhus (Denmark)

To buy a train ticket from Sweden to Denmark, have a look at the booking links. Depending on where you start in Sweden, you first have to buy one ticket from your starting place in Sweden to Copenhagen (Denmark). From Copenhagen, buy a second train ticket to your destination place in Denmark.

If there is no booking option from your departure place in Sweden to Copenhagen, book to Malmö, the last stop in Sweden. From Malmö take a train via the Öresund Bridge (train runs every 20 minutes) to Copenhagen, from where you continue.

From Copenhagen you have frequent train connections to every place in Denmark.

2a Travelling from Moscow (Russia) to Berlin (Germany)

There are two direct night train connections from Moscow to Berlin. The journey time is 24 hours. You can buy train tickets from 160 EUR. The ticket price depends on your travel date and the category you are traveling in. You can find the exact timetable with ticket prices via the given booking links.

Three times a week you can travel on these direct train connections. One train connection ends directly in Berlin (EN440 13M Strizh). The second train connection goes from Moscow via Berlin to Paris (EN452 23J).

If you want to avoid the trip through Belarus, travel from Moscow to Kiev. In Kiev, take the direct night train to Warsaw, from where you continue to Berlin.

2b Travelling from Berlin (Germany) to Aarhus (Denmark)

To travel from Germany to Denmark by train, use one of the daily connections which usually runs via Hamburg.

Saver fares are available from Euro 29. For detailed schedules and ticket fares, please use one of our booking links. As earlier you book, as cheaper the prices are.

If you want to include a night train, there is currently only one option left: in the summer months there is one IC train travelling overnight from Hamburg (Germany) to Copenhagen (Denmark).

In 2021 a new night-train-line will run from Berlin via Hamburg and Copenhagen to Stockholm.
