1a Travelling from Bratislava (Slovakia) to Frankfurt am Main (Germany)

Train tickets from Slovakia to Germany are available from Deutsche Bahn (German railways).

Buy these saver fare tickets "Sparpreis Europa" from 29 EUR. If your journey starts from a city in Slovakia where no saver fare ticket is available from, buy first a ticket of Slovak railways to a possible departure station. And from there a second train ticket to Germany.

Between Slovakia and Czech Republic you will also find private express trains "Regiojet" and "Leo Express". They have very good offers which can be interesting for travelling between Slovakia and Germany if you buy two train tickets having a stopover along the way in Czech Republic.

1b Travelling from Frankfurt am Main (Germany) to Paris (France)

Travel from Frankfurt to Paris by direct TGV INOUI or ICE high-speed-train. The ticket price starts at 39 EUR. The journey times is 3:40 hours. There are at least four direct train connections per day and several more with change of trains.

1c Travelling from Paris (France) to Barcelona (Spain)

To travel from Paris to Barcelona, the fastest option is by direct TGV high-speed train. There are two direct trains with a journey time of about 6,5 hours. Train tickets are available from 49 EUR. You find the exact schedule and saver-fares via our booking links. We recommend to book early as otherwise the ticket prices are high.

The direct night train does not exist anymore. To travel overnight, travel first by night train from Paris to Latour de Carol (ticket via our booking links). There you change to a local train directly to Barcelona. The so called "Rodalies Barcelona" costs 12 EUR. The ticket is available at a ticket machine and inside of the train.

Travel from Slovakia to Austria on the main rail route from Bratislava to Vienna. There are frequent train connections available. The journey time from Bratislava to Vienna is one hour. Train tickets are available from 11 EUR.

To Bratislava you have excellent train connections from whole Slovakia. And from Vienna there are frequent train connections to every city in Austria.

2b Travelling from Vienna (Austria) to Zurich (Switzerland)

Travel from Vienna to Zurich by direct day train "Railjet" or overnight train "Nightjet".

There are at least four day train connections by "Railjet" trains. The journey time is 7:50 hours. Train tickets are available from 39 EUR. This saver fare ticket is called "Sparschiene".

The overnight train is called "Nightjet" and offers comfortable travel while you are sleeping. The journey time of the NJ466 is 11 hours. Train tickets start from 29 EUR for a seat. There a compartments with six seats available. More comfortable are the 6 or 4 berth couchette compartments. And the sleeper compartments which you can book with three, two or one bed. The departure time in Vienna is at 21:30. The arrival time in Zurich at 08:30.

2c Travelling from Zurich (Switzerland) to Barcelona (Spain)

Travel from Switzerland to Spain by train. There are three main travel routes available from Switzerland to Barcelona: via Paris, via Lyon and via Geneva. From Barcelona continue to your travel destination in Spain.
