Kaupinoja Sauna

Kaupinoja sauna is situated in the North-East of Tampere directly by lake Näsijärvi. This is a gender-mixed sauna where you have to wear your bathing suit/pants. Dressing-rooms and showers are for men/ women separately. In winter it is possible to swim in an ice hole (avanto)! Opening times: Mon - Fri 16.00 - 20.45 Sat 12.00 - 17.45 Sun 12.00 - 20.45 On the second Tuesday of the month the sauna is closed. The sauna closes during the summer months. Prices: Adults 7 € Children (over 7 y.) 3 € Equipment: small lockers, free hair-dryers for everybody's use, hangers for towels, shampoo, one shower uses water from the lake, lobby has taps for drinking water. Notes: Many experienced winterswimmers wear a small hat, pipa, to protect their head from the heat and the cold. Some kind of slippers or diving shoes are recommended.
