Dutch Photomuseum
Recently moved to the Las Palmas building the photomuseum is actually a must see when you're in Rotterdam. Always with great expositions and a bit of do it yourself. Of course they also have a lot to tell about history etc.

The monument of Zadkine built in 1953 is for many locals untill to day the symbol of the destruction of the city and the indestructible desire for reconstruction.
