Several times I was in Leipzig for a short stay, as well in the Kaffeehaus Riquet (Coffee house).
A key advantage of this coffee house is that it is located near the train station (on the way from the station to the city center). It is a corner building (at the corner of Reichsstraße / Schuhmachergässchen) and the outside is quite striking, as it is decorated with elephant heads.
The house was built in 1908/1909.
The coffee house is divided into the "Stadtcafe" (ground floor) and the "Wiener Cafe" (on the first floor). I had always been a guest on the first floor.
