Marburg is a bustling city due to the many students. They meet at the "Lahnwiesen" (Lahn meadows) to picnic or for a barbecue.
Northampton-Park
Beautiful park on the banks of the river Lahn. Very much alive by students and families with children. A small mobile shop offers coffee and crepes.
Spiegelslustturm (Kaiser-Wilhelm-Turm)
This is an observation tower on the "Lahnbergen" mountains near Marburg. The tip of the tower gave me a friend who lives in Marburg. Unfortunately, I got the hint AFTER my recent visit to at the Lahn. So a good reason to come back! How to get to the tower? Take bus 7 or 9 to Hospital main entrance, then 1 km walk through the forest.
