The place with its original name "Naqsch-e Jahan" was built from 1590 to 1595 by Abbas I. The current, official name is: Maidān-e Naqsh-e Jahān ("Imam Square"). It has a length of 560 meters and a width of 160 meters. In 1979 he was included in the list of UNESCO's World Heritage List.
