Ham Tin Wan - Sai Kung - Hong Kong - Beach

Ham Tin Wan is a beautiful beach, which my friends and i go since we were teenager. There is 2 ways to get to this beach, First way is the easy way; go to Sai Kung Pier and ask for a boat that go there. 2nd way, the way i always go; Take a mini bus from Chan Man Street in Sai Kung to 西灣亭 (pronouns as :Sai Wan Ting), and it would be the last stop. And then, the best bit, you would need to hike about 2-3 hours to get there. The hiking route is pretty straight forward; just follow the sign. And it is not difficult or dangerous to walk, as all the path are concrete path. On the way it you would see the reservoir and beauty country side of busy city Hong Kong. You will see a little village and a comer shop when you get there. You can rent Body-Board and buy hot food and drinks there, and the shop open till 9-ish at night. The wave in this beach are pretty good for surfing and body-boarding =] and bring a tent, you can camp there over night too! It is not a tourist beach, so it pretty private and quiet (also no lifeguard!).
