Where to eat Tapas in Granada - 1

Dónde comer tapas en Granada - 1

Welcome hungry travellers! One of the interesting things to do in Granada is to "eat"! And I'll suggest you some of the best (and cheapest) ways of eating in Granada. It is known as TAPAS. Short explanation: The TAPA (plural, TAPAS or TAPITAS), is a cheap way of eating. Basically you just have to pay the Beer, or Coke, or Fanta... And the waiter will offer free a small (or big, it depends of the bar) dish. In some places you can choose within a list of TAPAS. And believe me, you can be plenty with just 2 or 3 tapitas. One good place of TAPITAS is the CALLE GONZALO GALLAS. Here you can find about 5 different BAR of TAPITAS. For example "Reventaero" or "MADROÑERA". I suggest you just arrive here early for dinner (in Spain it would be at 22:00h. Earlier you might find it close, and later you might find it FULL!). Just sit, and relax. AND EAT!!!!

La Parra

Well, this is not a TAPAS place, but is an interesting place to eat. Here you can eat a really big BOCATA (I suggest to order one sandwich for two persons). The BOCATAS will have strange names as "CAPULLO", "GILIPOLLAS", "RONALDO", "HIGUAIN"... Some of them soccer players, and the others... well, bad words. But the important thing of this place is not the names, nor the "chef". Is the size of the BOCATAS. Though they are not enormous, you can easily be full-filled with just a half of a sandwich. I can guarantee. Is an interesting place to eat!

One good place of TAPITAS is this cross of streets. First you can find THE REVENTAERO (where with the second tapita, as well as the tapita, they will gift you with a dessert!!!). Also there are a lot of places where you can eat delicious JAMON SERRANO (Serrano Ham) from the ALPUJARRAS (mountains in Granada). I suggest you just arrive here early for dinner (in Spain it would be at 22:00h. Earlier you might find it close, and later you might find it FULL!). Just sit, and relax. AND EAT!!!!

Puesto 43

This one of very few modern looking bars in Andalucia goes way back. The family has been in the fishing industry for decades. Their own tapas bar/Restaurant serves the best fish in Granada. Because the fisherman do not fish on Sunday there is only meat on the menu on Sundays.
