The free town is quite unique in the world, so drugs such as hashish and marijuana are there freely sold on the street. In addition, the houses in Christiana are quite run down, or kept in an exceptional architecture. Christiania is developed for tourism and as a tourist you need not to worry if you are silent (no fast running) and no photography in public. Although it is considered as a hippie center today, Christiana is definitely worth a visit. Nevertheless: stay away from drugs!
