InterCity are the fastest trains from Bratislava via Zilina to Kosice, the main line from west to east through Slovakia.
The trains offer comfortable seats in 1st and 2nd class as well as a restaurant car. In 2nd class there are four seats per row (2+2) in open-plan carriages, most of them facing each other; or compartments with six seats per compartment. In 1st class there are three seats per row (2+1) in open-plan carriages, most of them facing each other. All trains have air-condition, power sockets, WiFi, facilities for the disabled and convey bicycles.
Seat reservation is compulsory and included in tickets bought in Slovakia. If you are travelling with international tickets or a rail pass, an extra reservation is required.
