I\'m travelling from Salerno to Taormina, and will have to transfer at Paola train station. Does anyone know that is 8 minutes a enough transfer time at Paola station? What will happen if i miss the transfer train? Thank you.

Hi Philip and welcome to rail.cc :)

The station is not that big https://rail.cc/en/paola/paola-railway-station/l3203 . If a schedule planner tool shows the connection and you can buy the ticket for it, the 8 minutes should be okay. If you miss the train, you have to take the next one.

What is your exact connection ? Do you travel by Interrail pass or normal train ticket ?
As there are direct IC trains available as well between Salerno and Taormina.

Pete :)

Hi Pete,

Thanks for the prompt reply.
I looked up IC Trains but they\'re all sold out as my travel date is next week.
We\'ll travel by normal train operated by Regional (Salerno - Paola) and Interrail (Paola - Taormina).
Do you think we would be able to make it?

Thank you!
Phil

Hi Phil.
It\'s never possible to preview it.
Maybe you could use an earlier regional train to Salerno and have there a break, before you continue.
Pete :)
