Hello!

I just bought my interrail ticket, which has validity dates from 25/02/08 - 24/03/08. However, I am now able to leave a few days earlier, and am wondering if this is possible (to start and end my tour earlier). How does it work at the first train station? Will they only let you get on between the valid dates printed on the ticket, or will they just write an earlier date in the space on the ticket if you decide to leave earlier?
Thanks!

Jennifer

hi Jennifer...
if these dates are printed on your ticket, you have to ask at the place where you bought the ticket to change it ...
no other possibilities are available... :o

As Peter says, you CAN change the ticket date through the people who sold it to you but it costs around 20 pounds.

You could just go on your new departure date and just stay and explore where you are before your ticket becomes valid. I always go somewhere and have 2 or 3 days before my ticket is usable and I also take several days, somewhere nice, at the end when the ticket runs out. This means the holiday lasts longer!

Have a great trip.

Thanks for the replies. I think I will just leave earlier, then start my interrail from that city...good idea :)

Cheers!
