We like to make a train trip from The Netherlands through Germany, Poland, and Belarusia to Moscow and St Petersburg.
Bud now I here that the border from Belorussia to Russia and from Russia to Belorussia back is closed for all traffic, as in cars and trains?
Now I like to know if this information is correct?
And if this information is correct, will it than be closed in December 2018 to?

Hi and welcome to railcc!

The border is not closed, however at the moment the border crossings between Belarus and Russia are officially open only for citizens of these two countries.
There have been reports about travellers by car/bus who have been refused entry into Russia via these border crossings - they have been sent back and had to enter Russia via another border crossing (for instance from Ukraine, Latvia or Estonia).

There have been no reports of train travellers being sent back; however officially the same regulations as on road crossings should apply. There has been information about an agreement between Belarus and Russia that travellers from other countries (in possesion of visa for Belarus and Russia) can use the international trains but this situation might change at short notice.

In reality it shouldnt be a problem to take the train but there might still be a small risk remaining. It is not possible to make any predictions about the situation in Decemeber.
