Hi everyone,

me and my girlfriend are doing our first inter railing this summer. due to work we can only have 2 weeks off so we're taking the global ticket 5 days within 10 days.

we have flights to Geneva - going to spend a few days there then pay for a train to Lausanne. Then use our Interrail for the first time to Nice, spend a few days there. Then off to Pisa (still need to decide) again a few days there, then down to Naples and then use our last day train ticket to Rome. Spend the rest of the holiday there and fly home!

So it goes:

Geneva
Lausanne
Nice
Pisa
Naples
Rome all in 2 weeks!!

what do you think? any ideas?

Hi
If you'll be in Geneva for a few days, you can easily visit the Alps. Trains are frequent and fast and I think you can be in the heart of the Alps - Interlaken/Grindelwald etc - within about 2 and a half hours.

I'm going there next week and, researching the transport possibilities, found that Switzerland is an excellent place for getting around quickly.

Hope this is helpful.

Have an excellent trip.
