Hi! I wonder if there\'s a direct train from Gdansk to Prague and how long does it take to get from one destination to the other? I know there\'s a direct train from Warsaw to Prague. Which of the trains is better and more convenient to travel by?

Hi and welcome.

No there is no direct train between Gdansk and Prague. You have to change trains for example in Warsaw, Krakow, Ostrava or even Berlin. Depends on the route you select. If you travel overnight, think about Gdansk to Warsaw or Krakow by direct day train, then by night train on to Prague.
The journey time also depends on your route and is about 11 hours in average. Have a look at live schedules here: [ux]https://plan.rail.cc[/ux]

For tickets (or do you travel by Interrail/Eurail pass?) there is the situation, that you can not buy international trains from Polish railways online, only at stations. Therefore you can use the service of Polrail [ux]https://rail.shop/polrail[/ux] , but they can not always offer saver fares (only available at stations).
For your journey inside of Poland, buy tickets online at PKP [ux]https://rail.shop/pkpic[/ux] .
If you choose the option to travel via Berlin over day, you can book the whole ticket in one via [ux]https://rail.shop/bahn[/ux]

Hi!

During the summer months, you could also travel by night train from Gdansk to Bohumin, then continue by day train to Prague.
The night train has sleeper accomodation and 2nd class seats; however online booking is not available (as Pete described above).

You can also buy reservation onboard, but its 10pln more, if there was open ticket office on your departure station. If it was closed it is normal price.
