Has anyone ever gone beyond Kiev/Belarus/Turkey/Moldova into places like Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia and onto places like Mongolia, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, China, etc?
ANYONE? I'm strongly considering Baku, Yerevan and Georgia! :o )

yes, have been to Geo-Arm (from in+out Turkey) and to MOL (transit ROm-MOL-UA.
I avoid countries that need visa with all the hoops that come with that, thus did not go to Azeri. (ARM needs visa-but that means just pay at border for sticker).
WHAT are you questions? you now ask like: write me a guidebook-300 pages.
OR: use a daft simple normal travellers fora, like thorntree from lonelyplanet-most Qs that arise from notyetbeenthere 1st timers will be asnwered by reading a few pages or using the search.
