We are wishing to travel from Athens airport to Korinthos on 8th August, and back again on 22nd. Do we need to book in advance, what is the best route, and how can we book? Thanks!

No need to book in advance, this is purely local traffic.
From the airport take a Proastiakos (suburban train) train line 2 to Ano Liosia, then change to a local train in direction of Kiato to get to Korinth. Tickets are availble locally at the station.
