Hey,
Does anybody know if there is a website which allows you to calculate distances and times between two train stations?

Also, is it worth joining the YHA before i decide to go away?

Thank You!

I usually use the following site for train times:

https://rail.cc/en/search-train-route

This site covers pretty much all of the major train services. It doesn't have all the special trains, such as the InterCity services in Greece. I searched for Thessaloniki to Istanbul on that site and got quoted 26 hours, so I searched on the offical website of a Greek company and found an overnight InterCity train. But on the whole that website is very good.

And as for the YHA...I'm not sure how much use it will be, but I will be getting one before I go. It's only £10 or so, so its not too bad.

YHA membership is nice but you do not need it very often because there are also a lot of free hostels ...
if you want, have a look on the website here [ux]https://rail.shop/hostelworld[/ux]
there you will find some prices and information to get an overview. :)

To calculate distances, use this website: jizdenka.idos.cz/it.aspx
