Foehr Island by bike - great island tour
Insel Föhr mit dem Fahrrad erkunden - Große Inselrundfahrt
On Föhr there are five marked bicycle round trips. The great island tour ("große Inselrundfahrt") is signposted by a starfish on a green background. The route: From Wyk harbor ... beside the golf course ... to Nieblum (Friesendom) for the Gotinger cliff, then via the Godel lowlands to Utersum and Dunsum (nice view to Amrum) and through the villages Süderende and Oldsum in the great march. Back to arch Wyk. Length of the trail: 40 km

Insel Föhr mit dem Fahrrad erkunden - Historische Inselrunde
On Föhr there are five marked bicycle round trips. The historic island round ("historische Inselrunde") is signposted by a Viking helmet on orange background. The route: Start in Nieblum (Friesendom), via Goting and Utersum (barrows) to Süderende ("speaking grave stones"), continue via Lembeckburg, Borgsum mill and Alkersum (Museum of Fine Art on the West Coast) to the starting point Nieblum.

On Föhr there are five marked bicycle round trips. The fauna and flora round ("Fauna- und Flora-Runde") is signposted by a wild duck on a blue background. The route: From the start in Borgsum to the bird sanctuary of Godel lowlands and along the coast (beautiful views of the mudflap) via Utersum and Dunsum the tour highlight Lembecksburg. Then back via Süderende possibly with a detour to the Toftumer Heide. Length of the trail: 15 km

On Föhr there are five marked bicycle round trips. The Culture Round ("Kultur-Runde") is signposted by a picture frame on a violet background. The route: From Wyk (Frisian Museum) through Nieblum (galleries) to Alkersum (Fine Art on the West Coast - "Museum Kunst an der Westküste"), from there to Oldsum (galleries and pottery) and back to Wrixum (historic mill). Length of the route: 21 km

Insel Föhr mit dem Fahrrad erkunden - Marschenrunde
On Föhr there are five marked bicycle round trips. The march round ("Marschenrunde") is signposted by a sheep on a green background. The route: From Wyk harbor via the Boldixumer Vogelkoje to information center Protection Wattenmeer ("Schutzstation Wattenmeer"). Then on to Oldsum (nice city center) and Alkersum (Museum Fine Art on the West Coast - "useum Kunst an der Westküste") on to Midlum (shepherd shop - "An de Marsch") and back via Oevenum (Friedenseiche) and Wrixum (apple orchard in the park at the mill). Length of the route: 28 km
Laglum-Siel
On the island of Foehr, there are three pumping stations. They are responsible for regulating the water level in the marsh. One of these three pumping stations is the Laglum-Siel in Wyk. The other two are the West pumping station at Dunsum and the mid pumping station in Oldsum). The Laglum-Siel works automatically, this means, the doors open at low tide and close at high tide. The pumps of the other two pumping stations are operated manually.
