Hi! Me and my friend are going to travel trough Europe this summer, and I was wondering if anyone had some experiences about the camping areas.

Does one need a reservation? Is it much cheaper to stay in a camping area compared to hostel? Are there camping areas near the centres in big cities (London, Paris..) ?

Thank you! ;)

Heey,

sure there are campings, but they are far from the city centre and will take an hour or maby even more, :o So My tip to you is grap a hostel in centre, that means that you don't have to bring tent, gasbottles, cooking stuff etc.. accept if you want to put your tent in the hostel;) but anyway the campings are lying far (30 to 50 km from the city centre) and it takes some time to get the metro or bus station

good luck
