The scary reality of having decided to interrail Europe alone is now starting to hit home and I am in some desperate need of some/any advice on the following!

My main concern now is my Route. I have three months to use up and would like to fit in both Eastern and Western Europe...as I am a travel virgin I have absolutely no idea where to start! :|

Has anyone else out there done this alone? Is it as scary as it sounds? It is so hard to find a travel companion who wants to do the same things at the same time...and life is too short to sit around waiting!

Any tips I would be extremely grateful!

Becs :)

just a short tip:
when I am traveling alone, I often stayed in hostels and there you easily find other solo travelers to stay together for some days ..... :)
so you are never alone !!! ;)

after my interrail experience, i think doing it alone might be the best option. as peter said, you meet alot of people along the way in hostels, and you also have the freedom to go as you please. i'll definitely be doing my next interrail alone.

as for the route, why not start in the low countries and go out east, then come back round, like a big circle type.
