Hey everybody, Im interrailing france and the netherlands in july and august. however, i found myself having difficulties with understanding french train system 8) .
where and how can I reservate TGVs (do i have to reservate or can i simply enter the train and pay when the controlor comes?) and how much do these extra charges usually cost?
is this the same for night trains?
is there a night train from paris to amsterdam (I ve heard it is but i couldnt find it)?

thank you for helping me :)

Heey,

I'm trying to help but I'm not sure if I can answer all your questions, You can reservate the Tgv at the station in the city where you are, I live in Holland and here it's possible to reservate 2 trains on your interrail ticket but I don't know how it's with your country. elsewhere just reservate on the stations, The extra fee.. depends on the kind of train you have I thought in france it was 3 euro, but can be more... For night trains there are different fees, because you can choose for a bed, or a seat if you know what I mean. I don't know if there's a nighttrain to Amsterdam, but you can also travel during the day that takes 4 hours so if you leave at Nine in the morning your in Amsterdam at 1 in the afternoon, so you don't need a nighttrain, Have A great trip
