Good afternoon to everyone!

I am Mercedes, and I am considering in getting an Interrail Global Pass according to my itinerary planned to Europe in October 2018. The itinerary is still in progress, but it would be something like this: it begins in Italy 9 days (visit Rome, Venice and possibly some other city), then go to Paris 6 days; and by last go to London for 6 days.

I would like to get feedback about buying the Interrail Pass 15 travel days continuos or 22 travel days continuos 1st class. I have been reading that some night trains need reservation (despite having Interrail Pass) so I want to know if you can tell me:
*Which trains go direct from Italy to Paris - one way ticket? How much would be the extra cost to make reservation in 1st class?
*Which trains go direct Paris to London- one way ticket? How much would be the extra cost to make reservation in 1st class?
The overall question is : is still profitable buying 15/22 days continuos pass if I travel during the night with highspeed trains to Paris and London (paying extra cost?)

Are 15/22 days continuos pass considered flexi pass? Can you give further explanation about travel record in Travel Calendar please?

Please excuse me for making so many questions! I just want to be sure of taking the best decision regarding time and cost awareness.

Regards and thanks in advance!

Hi Mercedes.
Good to ask, as Interrail maybe won\'t pay out on your planed route.
Do you know already all cities in Italy you want to visit.
If you book early in advance, as you also already book your accommodation in advance, you will find very cheap Italian train tickets. Have a look on [ux]https://rail.shop/omio[/ux] - of course not already for October, but test it for example with a date two months from today.
And then calculate... how much you will spent for Italian train tickets.

As like you mentioned in your post, not all trains are included in Interrail.

Especially the Thello train from Venice and Milan to Paris: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train/venice-paris-th-220/8
You only get a discount which starts from Euro 86. There are even cheaper tickets available WITHOUT Interrail. See here: [ux]https://rail.shop/omio[/ux]

The same for the Eurostar train from Paris to London for Euro 30: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation/eurostar/78
Discount tickets booked in advance are available as well instead of Interrail.
Or use a cheap bus [ux]https://rail.shop/flixbus[/ux] - not that comfortable but cheap and possible overnight.

Hope this helps. And please just ask if you have further questions. Pete :)
