Departing 6/6/17 and returning 14/6/17 I would be interested to know if anyone can suggest a good way of doing the above route, potentially with a stop overnight or maybe night trains. Would prefer 2 bed sleepers if using night trains, I can\'t seem to work out costs for the whole thing easily. Age 24+25, male and female

Basically two options come to mind:
a)
London - Paris by Eurostar
Paris - Venice by Thello night train [ux]https://rail.cc/en/night-train/paris-venice-th-221/6[/ux]
Venice - Naples by either Frecciarossa or Italo high speed train
It would be faster to get off the night train in Milan already but that would be very (too) early and it has much more style to roll over the dam into Venice Santa Lucia and maybe have a quick stroll around the city before continuing...
b)
London - Paris by Eurostar
Paris - Turin or Milan by TGV
Milan - Naples by night train [ux]https://rail.cc/en/night-train/turin-salerno-icn-797/194[/ux]
Personally I would recommend to travel Paris - Turin, have dinner there and get on the night train there. From Turin you also can take this night train [ux]https://rail.cc/en/night-train/turin-salerno-icn-799/252[/ux]
Theoretically you can book the whole trip in one go at [ux]https://rail.shop/omio/[/ux] however you have very few possibilites to adjust your route there, so you might book trips separately instead - allow for enough changeover time between trains then!

I cannot seem to see any night trains for the way back via turin. Do you know when the timetable for after 11th June will be released?

Italian timetables for the summer are usually only available at short notice, do not expect the full schedule to be online earlier than one month in advance. Anyway, you can expect the return night trains (both Salerno - Turin trains) to continue to run as they do now.

Great to see Eurostar now included in interrail! Am I correct in assuming you require a 1st class pass to be valid with 1st class reservations? Does this also include the premier option on the eurostar.
Also it mentions the pass being valid for one journey each end in your home country. does one journey mean one train?

Sorry just also to query on the class point - on the turin to naples sleeper do you also require a 1st class interrail pass for the 2 berth sleeper or is standard acceptable for any form of accomodation

Yeah, the addition of the Eurostar has really added value to the Interrail pass. :)

You need a 1st class pass to travel in 1st class; Business Premier is not available for passholders as far as I know; however maybe ou can buy a 1st class reservation at a higher fare if you are travelling with a 2nd class pass.
When travelling within our own country changes of trains are allowed as long as you finish the whole trip within one day (1900 rule also applies).
Double and Single (two bed/one bed) accomodation on Italian night trains requires a 1st class ticket as far as I know: [ux]https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train/turin-salerno-icn-797/194[/ux]
However info on this issue is a bit sparse and I will try to get confirmation on that matter. I\'ll be in Italy in April and will try to get new information while I\'m there.
