Suburbane (S)

These trains operate on the suburban network around Milan. They connect Milan with the suburbs, running on currently twelve different lines and stopping at all stations.

A variety of modern trains is used on these services. Trains usually have air-condition and offer both 2nd and 1st class seats. Many trains have facilites for the disabled. Most trains convey bicycles. Folding bikes and bikes in a bag are free of charge, for regular bikes an additional ticket is required. You can either buy a day ticket for 3€ or an additional 2nd class ticket for the distance travelled.
